DESCRIPTION:HOME MECHANIC PLUS (MTB)\n \nCOURSE DESCRIPTION\nOur Home Mechanic PLUS (MTB) course is an extension of our standard Cytech Home Mechanic course. It offers a deeper dive into the more complicated maintenance tasks specific to mountain bikes. You’ll be learning from the people who train the UK’s professional cycle mechanics and working in some of the most advanced workshops around\, this will help inspire confidence in your ability to tackle more difficult maintenance jobs without the need to take your bike to a local bike shop\, or help get you home safely if you were to suffer a mechanical issue whilst out on the trail. \nWHO IS THE COURSE SUITABLE FOR?\nThe Home Mechanics PLUS (MTB) course is suitable for keen mountain bikers who are already able to undertake everyday maintenance jobs at home. For example\, recreational/club riders and MTB racers who do a lot of mountain biking and tend to frequently purchase spare parts online to fit at home. It is recommended (but not essential)\, that you have completed our standard Cytech home mechanics course. A prior knowledge of and/or experience of using a range of home workshop tooling is expected. \nWHAT DOES THE COURSE INCLUDE?\nThe course includes instruction\, insider tips and tricks from our leading team of training officers who train the UK’s professional cycle mechanics. \nSUBJECTS COVERED:\n\nFitting cranks and bottom brackets\nWheel care (spoke replacement\, truing\, dishing and tension)\nHydraulic brake bleeding and pad replacement.\nSetting up Tubeless tyres\nSuspension set-up and care (fork lower leg and air sleeve servicing)\nDropper seatpost care\nHub servicing\nBearing maintenance (hubs\, headset\, bottom bracket\, pivot)\nComponent compatibility (drivetrains\, headsets and forks)\nApproved knowledge sources\n\nHOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?\nThis is a 2-day course and can be completed at any of our dedicated training centres. \nHOW MUCH DOES IT COST?\nThe course costs £299.00 (no VAT). The price includes all course materials. NB. Travel costs and food are not included in the price. \nWHAT DO I RECEIVE WHEN I PASS?\nOn successful completion of the course\, you will receive the Home Mechanic PLUS (MTB) certificate.
