CYTECH POLICE E-BIKE COMPLIANCE TRAINING

This course is for learning about the laws on e-bikes and how to identify different types of e-bikes – including road legal, compliant e-bikes, non-compliant illegal “e-bikes”, electric motorcycles (e.g. Surrons and e-scooters). The course also covers battery safety / risk management, transport and storage best practice.

This course is for Police Officers, PCSOs and other Police staff involved with the enforcement, transport and storage of illegal / non-compliant e-bikes.

  • UK legislation relating to EAPCs (Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles)
  • Identification of compliant and non-compliant e-bikes, electric motorcycles (e.g. Surrons) and e-scooters
  • Understanding key components such as motors, batteries and control units
  • Lithium-ion battery risks and safe storage practices
  • Safe handling, transport and storage of seized vehicles and batteries
  • Case studies from recent enforcement activity

1 day:   9:00 am – 4:30pm

£350 (no VAT) per candidate.
